Dropping Elder Jenkins Off at the MTC

The day has finally arrived to take Gilmore to the MTC in Provo, UT.

We stayed in Clarkston, UT last night so we could visit with Will's sister Beverly and his mother who lives with her there. It also meant we were three hours closer and could make the final leg to Provo without too much stress.

When we arrived to the MTC there was a line up of cars at the gate. We followed them in and went where we were directed.

We were in and out of the MTC within 20 minutes.

Gilmore, Will and I got out of the suburban to begin unloading his suit cases. The rest of the kids stayed inside and took some photos for me.

Here is the Elder that came to escort Gilmore into the MTC.

Getting the final suitcase.

You can't leave without one more hug!

And there he goes.
Goodbye, Gilmore!
God Bless You,
Until We Meet Again!

Gilmore's Mission Farewell and Celebrating His Efforts in Venturing

What a fabulous day. It was hard work getting the house and food ready for this day, but it was well worth the effort. I am grateful for all the family and friends that took the time to come to our home to wish Gilmore well on his mission and to also help him celebrate his efforts in earning the Venturing Religious Bronze, Venturing Gold Award, and the Venturing Silver Award.

Congratulations Gilmore!
The last of his goals before he left on his mission was completing the requirements in order to receive his Venturing Awards. He has previously earned the Venturing Religious Bronze but had not yet received it. A lot of time and effort went in to earning these awards.
